🌻 Jaya Parvati Vrat Katha:🌻
A Brahmin by the name of Vaman and his spouse Satya used to reside in Kaudinya Nagar. They had everything they needed in their home; therefore, their lack of children was a source of great sadness for them both.
Narad ji stopped by their home one day while on the road. After serving Narad ji, they inquired for the answer to their issue. Narad Ji informed them that there is a forest outside of their city after hearing this. Under the Bilva tree in its southernmost section, Lord Shiva is seated alongside Mother Parvati in a linga. You two ought to give him fervent worship. This will ensure that your request is granted.
After discovering the Shivling beneath the Bilva tree, the Brahmin couple began to worship it ceremonially. They continued to worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati in this manner for five years. The Brahmin was killed by a snake bite while gathering flowers for worship one day. The Brahmin’s wife became concerned when he did not arrive home for a long time and went to the forest to look for him. Satya began to weep at seeing her husband like this and began to think of Mother Parvati.
Mother Parvati appeared when the Brahmini called out to her, and upon observing the Brahmini’s suffering, the Goddess placed nectar in the Brahmin’s mouth, causing the Brahmin to resurrect. When the Brahmini saw this, she was ecstatic, and the Brahmin couple adored Mother Parvati. Satisfied by their devotion, Mother Parvati requested that they make a wish. Next, they both begged Mother Parvati for the blessing of having a child. Mother Parvati advised the pair that if they both observe Jaya Parvati’s fast, all their wishes will come true.
Both followed the orders of Maa Parvati and observed Jaya Parvati Vrat as per the rituals. As a result, they had a son, and their family was complete. So, this was the story of Jaya-Parvati Vrat, thank you!
