On this day, special darshan is organized in various temples of North India, especially in Mathura and Vrindavan.               Planting a tree on Hariyali Amavasya and taking care of it, and watering it with fertilizers brings virtue. Trees and plants play a major role in the amount of oxygen that a human being takes in their lives. Keeping this in mind, our ancient Pandits and astrologers have described planting trees on Hariyali Amavasya as virtuous. According to Vedic astrologers, there is a tradition of planting neem for health, bananas for children, Tulsi for happiness and Amla for Lakshmi.

To get Lakshmi – Tulsi, Amla, Bilvapatra and Banana tree should be planted.

              According to Vedic astrology, no auspicious work should be done on the night of Hariyali Amavasya. The luminous planet Moon is not visible in the sky during the night of Hariyali Amavasya.

• On the day of Halharini Amavasya, wake up early in the morning and take a bath in a holy river or pilgrimage in the Brahma Muhurta.

• After waking up in the morning, worship Goddess Parvati and Lord Shankar with full rituals and married women should worship Goddess Parvati with vermilion and distribute Suhaag material.

• Make balls of flour and feed them to fish or other animals in a pond or river.

• Feed sugar or dry flour to ants near your house.
