🚩 Devutthan Ekadashi 2024 🚩

About Devutthan Ekadashi Ekadashi:

Hinduism holds that the success of each auspicious occasion depends on when it is initiated. People think that there should be a period of time during the year when no good items or events should be planned. One such ekadashi that signifies the end of the unlucky period is the Devutthana ekadashi. Another name for Devutthana Ekadashi is Prabodhini Ekadashi. It occurs on the Shukla Paksha, or brighter side, of the lunar month.

When Lord Vishnu awakens, it signifies the conclusion of the chaturmas, a four-month period. Lord Vishnu is said to have awakened during this time. This Ekadashi is unique among the 24 in terms of marriage dates. The Hindu wedding season begins at this time. Kartiki Ekadashi, Kartik Shukla Ekadashi, and Kartiki are some of its names. Kartik Purnima, also known as Dev Diwali or Diwali of Gods, comes after Devutthana Ekadashi. No auspicious work is done on Shayani Ekadashi since Lord Vishnu sleeps on that day and awakens on Prabodhini Ekadashi. On this day, Lord Vishnu is also said to have wed Tulsi.

🔰Significance Of  Devutthana Ekadashi:
🔰

In Hinduism, Devutthana Ekadashi has great spiritual significance. It is thought that attaining spiritual enlightenment and being freed from the cycle of birth and death can result from fasting and rituals on this day. “Prabodhini” means “awakening,” and it refers to the soul’s transition from ignorance to knowledge.

🔰Do not make these mistakes on Dev Uthani Ekadashi  🔰

On Dev Uthani Ekadashi, do not, even by accident, pluck tulsi. Give Tulsi Mata a crimson chunari as well. Under the tulsi plant, light a lamp. Today is not the day to eat rice. Remain composed. Preserve harmony, tranquility, and joy within the home. On this day, stay away from toxic foods like meat, onions, garlic, alcohol, and stale food at home.

🔰Tulsi Vivah and Devutthana Ekadashi  🔰:

Tulsi
Vivah is performed as part of a ritual on the eve of Prabodhini Ekadashi. Tulsi, a sacred plant, and God Shaligram, a manifestation of Lord Vishnu, engage in Tulsi Vivah. Another name for Tulsi is “Vishnu Priya.” Hindu scriptures and legends state that in order to obtain the virtue of Kanyadaan, couples who do not have a daughter or a girl child must once in their lives complete the Tulsi Vivah ceremony.
