🚩 Aja Ekadashi 2025 🚩

About Aja Ekadashi

The Hindu panchang and Vedic astrology both define “Aja” as “unborn” or “unmanifested,” and Ekadashi as the eleventh day of the lunar fortnight. All followers of Lord Vishnu consider this day to be auspicious, and Lord Hrishikesha is the object of a special devotion on this day. The 47th name in the Vishnu Sahasranama is Lord Hrishikesh, sometimes referred to as the “lord of the senses.”

Furthermore, the reason the Aja Ekadashi is called the Annada Ekadashi is that it is thought to purify the devotees and erase all sins. All that is necessary to erase one’s previous transgressions and karma is fervent fasting.

💐Significance Of Aja Ekadashi💐

The ancients were aware of the significance of Aja Ekadashi. In the “Brahmavaivarta Purana,” Lord Krishna explained to Yudhisthira, the eldest Pandava, the significance of this vrat. Raja Harishchandra even observed this vrat, and as a result, he regained his lost kingdom and his deceased son. Thus, this vrat encourages one to select a road leading to redemption and, in the end, attain release from the cycle of birth and death. The Aja Ekadashi vrat observer needs to maintain self-control over their body, emotions, behavior, and diet. The soul and heart will be purified by the fast.

The Hindu Puranas and other sacred texts state that if one observes the Aja Ekadashi vrat with utmost devotion, all of their transgressions from this life would be forgiven. He or she will also lead a happy and prosperous life, and upon death, they will be transported to “Vaikunta,” the dham of Lord Vishnu. Additionally, it is thought that adhering to the Aja Ekadashi vrat provides the same advantages as completing the “Ashwamegh Yagya.”
