In the Hindu calendar, Vijaya Ekadashi is the Ekadashi that falls during the Krishna Paksha (Waning Moon) of the Phalguna month. The worship of Lord Vishnu, with an emphasis on the Govinda form of the deity, is the focus of Vijaya Ekadashi, as it is on all Ekadashi. Vijaya Ekadashi occurs every year in February or March according to the Gregorian Calendar.
As the name suggests, observing the Vijaya Ekadashi Vrat is said to help the devotees succeed in whatever they are doing. According to the Puranas, followers can also benefit from reaching Moksha and reaching Vaikuntha, Lord Vishnu’s celestial residence, in the afterlife. Vijaya Ekadashi is available to people of all ages, particularly those who are trying to get past challenges in different areas of their lives.

Brahma answered his son Narad’s question regarding a quick way to guarantee success in any endeavor by explaining the significance of Vijaya Ekadashi. Observing this holy Ekadashi and immersing oneself in the Vrat Katha offers blessings like those received through a Vajpayee Yagya, according to Lord Krishna’s revelation to Yudhishthira in the Padma Purana. The devotees who observe this Vrat will finish their life’s journey in the celestial residence of Lord Vishnu, Vaikuntha, after enjoying joy and victories during their current lifetime. Additionally, the devotee completes the spiritual path started by the observance of Vijaya Ekadashi by achieving the ultimate freedom, Moksha, in the afterlife.
