“Aum Aeem Bhreem Hanumate
Shree Ram Dootaaya Namaha”
“Om, I bow to Hanuman, the messenger of Lord Rama, Who embodies the divine energies of Aing and Bhreem.”
Meaning: We plead to the divine Lord Hanuman, who is known to be the messenger and server of the Lord Rama.
ॐ आञ्जनेयाय विद्महे वायुपुत्राय धीमहि।
तन्नो हनुमत् प्रचोदयात्॥
“Om Anjaneyaya Vidmahe Vayuputraya Dhimahil
Tanno Hanumat Prachodayat ॥ ”
“Om, let us meditate upon Anjaneya, the son of Vayu, May that Hanuman inspire and enlighten us.”
Meaning: We pray to the divine son of Anjana and the son of the Wind God Vayu, may Lord Hanuman lead our mind towards knowledge and intellect.
ॐ श्री वज्रदेहाय रामभक्ताय वायुपुत्राय नमोsस्तुते ।
“Om Shree Vajradehaya Ramabhakthaya Vayuputhraya Namosthuthe”
“Om, I bow to the illustrious one with a body as strong as a diamond, the devoted servant of Lord Rama, and the son of the wind god.”
Meaning: Salutations to the divine one whose body is tough and strong. He is the son of the Lord of wind and the greatest devotee of Lord Rama. To Pavanputra Lord Hanuman, I bow down always.
मनोजवम् मारुततुल्यवेगम् जितेन्द्रियम् बुद्धिमताम् वरिष्ठम्।
वातात्मजम् वानरयूथमुख्यम् श्रीरामदूतम् शरणम् प्रपद्ये॥
“Manojavam Marutatulyavegam Jitendriyam Buddhimatam Varishtham
Vatatmajam Vanarayuthamukhyam Shriramadutam Sharanam Prapadye॥ ”
“I surrender to the messenger of Sri Rama, whose speed is as swift as the mind, who is the master of the senses and the bestower of intelligence, who is the son of the wind god and the chief among the vanaras (monkey-like humanoid beings), I seek refuge in him.”
Meaning: This mantra means that I take refuge in Lord Hanuman, the one, who is as swift a leopard and as fast as wind. He is the master of all senses. I urge him to give me excellence, strength, intellect, and wisdom. He is the son of the wind god and chief of all the Vanaars. Hence, to that Messenger of Lord Rama, I take refuge in him, by bowing down before him.
अंजनीगर्भ संभूत कपीन्द्र सचिवोत्तम ।
रामप्रिय नमस्तुभ्यं हनुमन् रक्ष सर्वदा ॥
Anjanii-Garbha Sambhuuta Kapii-[I]ndra Sacivo[a-U]ttama |
Raama-Priya Namas-Tubhyam Hanuman Rakssa Sarvadaa ||
“O Hanuman, born from the womb of Anjani, the best among the ministers of the king of monkeys, I bow to you, the beloved of Rama, please always protect me.”
Meaning: I take Refuge in Hanuman, who was born from the womb of Mother Anjani, and who was the most excellent minister of the King of Monkeys, Sugriva. He is extremely dear to Sri Rama; thus, I Bow to You, O Hanuman, Please Protect me Always.
